Figures on the toyota.co.jp are for Japanese local market. Cars in Japan are always rated a tad higher because of relaxed emissions regulation.
With the emissions equipment on to meet the regulations for US market, 417 HP in Japan/Europe will translate to around 409 - 411 HP.
p.s. Redline as per specs is at 6800 rpm.

I don't quite agree especially, if you look at the 6th - 8th gear in the Lexus are really overdrive gears (ratioed 1:1 or less) and the final drive is only 2.1 so really the acceleration gears are 1st - 5th.

Yes - the related written info has been splattered on different sites but I found this msnbc one interesting since it had a photo that I haven't seen yet..
Akio Toyoda, exective vice president of Toyota Motor Corp., stands by "Lexus IS F" at the Fuji Speedway Formula One racing course in Oyama, west of Tokyo, during its unveiling media event Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007. The 7.66 million yen (US$67,000; euro 47,000) sportscar, which can hit speeds of 300 kph (186 mph), rolls out Dec. 25 in Japan, and in February or March in the U.S., Toyota said. I was surprised at first myself. 2.1 rear seems way too low.
However, according this blog, it is 2.1 rear end and 2.9 reverse (must be wrong):

This site says the other way around:
