Tires for stock wheels
I've spent the last 3 days thumbing through all the posts from the past 5 years. I have a 13F and am in need of new tires. I know the rave these days are for the Ps4s or indy tires. I'm keeping stock wheels, i'm not going to lower it, i'm not going to track it. The car does see the highway year round, pending weather. Living in Missouri the temp can range from 100 in the summer, to 0 in the winter. I was told last night on Fbook that to soften the ride a bit, go with a taller sidewall. Every post about tires almost immediately jumps to a 18" setup. That's why i am asking the question. What size tires, front and back can i go with that would have a bit more sidewall then the stock size.
Thanks

If you want taller sidewalls and you don't want to change wheels, you'll have to accept the suspension geometry will be compromised to some extent. Your choices are also pretty limited. Given you do not want to track the car or lower it, you'd likely be best off with some high performance all season tires. Summer tires don't like winter temperatures, even as far south as you are in Missouri. Pick your poison.

I went with pilot sport a/s 3+ in the stock size. Was driven throughout the summer in midwest, through ice and snow in midwest, and more recently a blizzard in southwest. No complaints.

That's exactly what is on my car now. Ready to switch back to summer tires in wider widths this weekend now that it is warm enough again.

I have two sets of stock wheels and stock suspension on my 2012 car. On one set, I run PS3s in stock sizes. On the other set I run Indy 500's with 275/35/19 at the back and 245/40/19 on the front. I went with the larger Indys for a softer ride. Having tried them both over the last couple of years I don't notice an appreciable difference in ride quality. I'm guessing that could be because the PS3 might be a softer tire to begin with. The slightly wider Indy tires do however offer a tad more curb rash protection. Luckily I haven't had to take advantage of that (yet). I am not aggressive on the streets so I can't say if handling is substantially different between the two sets. I'm an old school muscle car guy, so I get most of my thrills from short bursts of acceleration (when safe opportunity permits).

I love my all-season inexpensive upsized Lexanis that I've been using since last year. Zero issues, and Im always putting a lot of miles on the car. I dont track it either but it is lowered at the front
Have reordered the same ones 2 or 3 times now. Have a new front set waiting to be installed after my RCF bushings come in

Since the OP has a 2013 with the wider wheels - There is an Option C:
255/35/19 & 285/30/19
As far as Continental is concerned, I would never ever buy another Continental tire again. I had a set of DWs that developed a terrible sing, and Continental blew me off. Discount Tire, however, heard me and gave me full credit on a set of Bridgestone S-04s. I was very happy with the S-04s.
Note there are threads on this forum about my experiences with the DWs and the S-04s.

Thanks Lou.. Yes I recall those discussions vividly.. My worn out rears are quite & Fun to drive.
My fronts had to come off for uneven wear and some minor cupping. BUT I'm lowered, out of spec alignment and both LCAs were toast..
I've solved the LCAs now, special thanks to "Lobuxracer"..
UP NEXT. Will be new tires & alignment.
I think I ran into an issue shopping for S04 in 275/35/19.. Not a size they made / make ?
Can't remember and ended up with the all season Conti's.
I'm not brand specific, but would like a quality tire for mileage and fwy duty..
Michelins would be nice but I prefer a multi task tire.

If you are going to be driving in temps lower that 45 degrees during your winters I would also recommend an A/S tire. Summer tire compounds are not built for cold temps and can get hard as the temperature starts to drop.

Why buy a nice car, and purposely cripple it by buying crap tires?
There is much more I want to say, but I'm going to leave it at that.

Like a few others have said I have the pilot sport as3+ in factory size (I know boring) and I am so impressed with the summer traction for an all season tire. In the winter they work great too although I have not tried snow driving.
Also, I see no reason to change the factory tire size. If you are driving on the street with wider tires, the car will be less sideways (= less fun) . The factory rear size on the as3+ does put the power down (most of the time)
Highly recommend this tire despite the price.
