Recall GLM - Rear Arch Corrosion

So Lexus is NOT remedying the "improper sealer application" to prevent future issues? They are just leaving as is if there is not damage present? This concerns me, as it does not sound like they are fixing the improper sealer application, only assessing if there is damage caused by the improper sealer application and addressing that if needed. Makes no sense, if there is improper sealer application, why would they not make the sealer application proper to PREVENT any issues? Am I understanding this right?

That would make sense if that's the case. Hope so. Your "no damage = no remedy needed" made me think since they didn't find damage there was no need to address, but if they found yours to be sealed properly, then that makes sense no work was needed.
I haven't received the letter but when checked online my VIN comes back with the notice.

had mine done yesterday. I noticed that the offending area always had dirt and rock build up when i was detailing my car. They seemed to have cleaned it up and applied some material to it. They topped off my gas, and was very curious to why I didnt want my car washed even though it's nasty looking right now.

As previously noted, this is not a TSB, this is a Limited Service Campaign. Input your VIN into the link doodlebug supplied to see if your vehicle is included in the service campaign:

I've included a pic of the service campaign details for reference if your vehicle is included. Drive happy.

I didn't see anything for my 2IS 250 or 3IS 350 at all as expected.

I got mine serviced and the sealant installed, was told there's a tube they seal with sealant that cost $800 a can, I haven't look to close to see were it is, no gas but I have two more free oil changes with the CPO...

I had mine service last week as well, for the corrosion and for the Headlight TSB (14' IS350, just got her a month ago). They didn't have to do anything to mine either for the corrosion, which has been driven in the Northeast from birth. Dealer letter just says "Body sealant inspection and no further action required."
Did get new headlights though, so that was nice, and got to drive a 17' IS300 for a day. (Happy i picked my IS350)
