Perhaps try restoring your iphone? my iphone 7 works fine with the Bluetooth connectivity. I don't think its an issue with the car since it worked fine with your old phone.

Basic checks: Do you have five (5) other phones/devices paired to the Lexus?
Are you trying to pair while driving and/or talking on the i7?

Question. Did you used to have another iPhone before? If yes, did you use the same backup as the old one? It probably reads the iPhone as the same but it's not. Because this happened to me when I went from a 6 to a 6S. I had to delete my old iPhone that was registered on the car's bluetooth and I had to sync it again. It worked afterwards. Make sure your old iPhone in the Lexus is deleted. Then connect it again. It doesn't matter what iPhone you have, iOS 10 works, and the 7 uses iOS 10.

Had to do the same with m new iphone 7. The new phone has a different identifier than the old one. Click Menu button then select setup then select bluetooth then select add new device. You will need to turn bluetooth on your phone on and the Lexus should show up. Give it a few sec. Select it on the iPhone then should be done. If it asks for a code use "0000".
