Default Help with Identifying Interior Part

My wife got nail polish all over the center dome/light where the buttons are to open the sun roof. I been looking online for the P/N to see if it's a replacable part since I think it's just plastic and easy to remove. Does anyone have the P/N for it or have any experience changing it? Thanks,

Is the part no. on the inside of the lens? If so, you can punch it into a parts site and see if it's sold separately. The light covers are easy to remove - just use one of the plastic pry bars. You can also use a flat head screwdriver covered in painters tape...but becareful that you don't scratch your car!

I did find this: http://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts-l...rior-lamp.html Look at the "Map" one....it's expensive ($309!) as I believe it includes all the switches.

I expect you can get just the "lens" cover separately as they have a few that are ~$15. Your local dealer should be able to figure that out. Good luck.

If it were me, I'd find a new part number for my wife.

Perfect Information. Thanks RobertG35, I appreciate it. The discoloring of the nail polish is really bugging me and I like to get it fixed. My wife totally doesn't appreciate and take care of the car as I would.

Did you try to pop off the lens to see if there is a part no embossed on it? Or did you talk to dealer yet?

haha you will not find any plastic from lexus for only $30.
honestly doubt they sell it that dissembled. They usually sell parts like that assembled already.

Yeah you're likely looking at a full part replacement. that whole thing is like over $300 I think.

I always wonder why people don't post pics with threads like this.

HI WHAT IS THIS

no pic.

Have you tried nail polish remover?

I put a small amount of nail polish remover on a q tip and brushed it away.... but it also removed the matte color of the black trim so now there is a high gloss line.... so annoying. I havent had a chance to drop by the dealer for questions but will do to see if I get any luck. If anyone else have any suggestions, please let me know.
