LED Red Bumper Reflectors? 3IS F Sport
Greetings all,
Has anyone done this or have been looking to do this lately to their 3IS lately? Im just wondering how to hardwire all the wires so that I can also install a secondary button in one of the empty slots I have.
Wondering how hard it is tot are the whole bumper off on this thing, Ive only had it for 2 months now.

They have 4 wires per side and 2 "sections" or "zones" of lights. I guess some people might attach them to blinkers, too. As previously mentioned, tapping into the brake light wires would be easiest. I that is what I planned on doing before I decided not to install them after putting on a new diffuser.
That said, I have a pair, brand new that I'd be willing to sell for $50 shipped.

This guy didn't install a secondary button for them but like previous posters have said, they just wire it to the brake lights. That thread has good info to install it.

well for off road use you could have a switch that cut power to all your brake lights
I'm not sure how
but someone named might know how to have a switch disable the microswitch that controls
power signal to the brake lights

I know they make nice ones for the RC that do sequential.
I bought a set for my CT and will install them soon. I am still torn between using them as turn signals, parking lights, and brakes, or just brakes and parking lights. i am leaning towards the latter
and yes the bumper would need to come off in all likelihood. should be easy. i imagine around 4 10mm bolts on upper lowers of the sides, and clips on the bottom. then the rest are pull/push locking clips around the bumper sides.

They function as running lights, brake lights, and turn signals
I just use t-taps into the turn signals. bumper has to come off, and turn signals as well, iirc the oem reflectors are held in by 1 Phillips screw. I recommend using painters tape and plastic pry tools to help get lever on removing bumper and the tail lights.

If you guys wanted sequential, you could buy the ones for the RC (or any other car for that matter) and cut a hole (extremely carefully) in the rear diffuser. They also make them for the Camry too so there's options as far as looks. The RC ones are nice though. long thin strip. just careful if you do that--cut once, measure twice sort of thing.. if you put them at the top of the diffuser, it might look decent.

that is where I got the idea, from the RC forum
