Default DIY Rear Bumper Reflector Upgrade with LED Lights

I finally had a bit of free time this weekend to install these, after months of waiting! Wow I wish I’d have done this sooner, I love my tail end now....with LED blinkers, reverse lights and now the animated LED bumper lights (& blinkers) it has a real high end feel now!

So I thought I'd share the pics I took along the way and the process for anyone else interested . . . so I hope this is helpful!

Here's the end result:

It's just way to hard to try and put a long DIY here in the forum so instead I've typed it up as a PDF to share with images, links, and the process that worked for me (building on top of the other great DIY info here on the forum).

DIY - Lexus RC-F Rear Bumber Reflector Upgrade with The Arrow LED Lights.pdf

So I hope this helps anyone else looking to do the same project!

That's a Great DIY write up bro.. and THANK YOU! I've been contemplating on getting the common EBay LED bumper reflector lights but this looks way cleaner.

Good luck and have fun...

You’ll find yourself walking up from the rear end as much as the front like I do now! ;-)

These are gorgeous! This type where the light flows to a direction is something I have not seen available in the past for the RC variants. I have experience with the solid LED style which failed in less than a year for me. I then picked up a set of smoked Fiber Optic reflectors which I have not had issues with since going on two years. I hope yours hold up well!

Nice write up! I've had my eyes on those for my NX too. Do they still work as reflectors, or are they only lights?

Great Write up..
I will say, a some bumper cover damage could of occurred during removal without your detailed guide. The additional lights looks great and adds a nice touch to the rear view of the car. It took me a few hours to do mine, but well worth the time taken.
Side note: The original reflector(s) has a small dimple on the back, but the new lights are flat on the back.. You will will have to do some light grinding on the bump in the recessed reflector area of the bumper cover. If you do not grind this area, the new light may be stressed and or even crack, once screwed in.

Good tip! I think I instinctively drilled out the dimple when I drilled the hole for my wires, ended up with double sized hole to make sure there was no risk of wire chaffing...

But it’s good to highlight that specifically for other folks!
