Hail Damage
Hello, I'm new here. I wanted to post my first thread and also share what just happened. I just bought my 2014 Lexus IS 250 F Sport and the VERY NEXT DAY, I came to work and a storm passed over us dropping a good amount of hail. Now my recently purchased car is full of dings all over the driver's side (I hope I attached the pictures correctly). As you all can imagine, I am very annoyed about this. Now I have to find a good body shop and hope they do a good job. At least there were no broken windows or anything like that, but anyway.... nice to meet everyone!

I was just thinking about that because I live close to a major lexus dealership. I would think its too many new cars to move around. I was also thinking if they were servicing a car and they put it in a outdoor waiting area, they will be responsible for the damage. Im sure they have insurance to cover all that, but can you imagine waiting to pick up a new vehicle and they tell you it was damaged??

Hope your repair goes well.
Try to find a very good PDR professional before going to the body shop. Feedback from someone who used them is crucial.
And be prepared to have some car detailing/paint correction done after the PDR is done. It is from my experience that they have to use some tools but inevitably leaving some light marring on the paint and trims which could be fixed afterwards.

That sucks! You should be fine though. I live in CO and a couple of weeks after I got my 2015 Mazda CX-5 GT, I was at the gym and got caught in this quick 10 minute hail storm. I didn't think it damaged my car, but when I got up close I was devastated, sick-to-my-stomach.
Anyway, contacted insurance, it was over $5k in damages. I had hundreds of dents all over my entire car. Luckily, the paintless dent removal (PDR) guys did some amazing work. They were done in a few days after I dropped off my car at Abra Auto Body. They fixed every single dent and I couldn't even spot where they previously were. Cool thing is that it didn't show up on the Carfax so when I traded my car for my Lexus IS, there was no loss in value.

Yes! I definitely felt like puking after I saw my car!! I have an appointment to get it checked out next week at some body shop... Do any of you know if Lexus takes care of these kinds of things or not?
