Houston IS 250 Lease
I just signed a lease in the Houston area for a IS 250 F-Sports package with Navi. I am new to leasing and would like to see recommendations on what I could do better on my next lease.
I did have a trade in Allowance of $2234.60 plus $500 Rebate
36 months/12,000 miles
MSRP: $43499
Neg Sales: $39000
Gross: $41165.25 (Tire and Wheel Warranty included)
Adjusted Cap: 38430.65
Residual: 27839.36
Rent Charges: 1026 (Money Factor = .00043??)
MSD: $3250
Monthly Payment at 322.70
Any suggestion or comments will be helpful on my next lease.
Thanks,

I'm not a fan of tire/wheel packages - locks you into taking the car to them to keep that warranty valid - not knowing what that cost you, I'm not sure it's worth it.
Seems like the money factor should've been lower with MSDs - how many did you do? Seems like you maxed them out which should've almost eliminated the money factor.
Unless you actually need 36 months, consider 24 next time - sometimes the 24 month payment is lower because of a better residual.
For your first lease though, you did pretty good - congrats and enjoy!!

Great info. I will consider 24 month lease next time. The tire and wheel warranty was $935. I'm ran over pot hole and had to replace 2 set of tire and wheel in my previous car.
I maxed out the MSD at $325. How much should each MSD lower the MF? Based on the information I gave, am I correct in the calculation of the MF as .00043?
Thanks again for the information

I will remember that for my next lease to make sure if I put in MSD, it should lower to under 1%.
Thanks for the info.
