Do we need undercoating on IS? I live in area with snow and salt.
I asked the Lexus dealer for a quote.
They told me they don't do it and don't recommend me to do it. They said the new IS has enough plastic plate and seal underneath to protect the car from rust.
Is it true?

All the plastic does is trap more salt and water and if anything, will cause it to rust easier. Doesn't hurt to get a undercoating done once a year. Cheap insurance.
