Front door speaker upgrade?
I posted in the 4G forum but I nobody's responded. Maybe some 3G !S folks can comment?
I'm an new 4th gen GS350 newbie and would appreciate advice for anyone who has upgraded their door speakers.
I have the standard Audio (not Mark Levison) and want a little more mid and highs out of the side door speakers. I've already maxed out the audio settings for treble and the dash speakers are doing their job to my taste. I just think the side speakers can do just a bit more.
I don't want to replace the head unit, ad additional amplification, equalizer, nor any custom fabrication, at least just not yet. Thought starting with the door speakers would be a 1st step.
I'm presuming the FRONT door speakers are 6 1/2" (at least the mounting holes) so a common 6 1/2" aftermarket speaker would work. Just swap out. Correct?
I'm thinking of something like the Infinity 6502ix co-axials with adjustable tweeters for all four doors. Plus, check out the nice looking grill
Any advice? Thanks

Infinity's are actually good for the money speakers. I used to have Perfect components. The grills look nice but your door panel is going to over it anyway.
There's another thread here regarding stock speakers as good as aftermarket for the most part. I believe our speakers are made by pioneer. Changing the speaker alone may not make a huge difference. Maybe the JL cleensweep might make it sound better.
