Underside of side skirt and front lip scratches
Hi,
I just leased an IS250 non-F (my first luxury car) and I already have some scratches on the underside of the side skirt and front lip . Are they made of plastic or metal? If they're plastic then I will probably not fix them until it's time to return my car to the dealership in a couple years. Because if I fix them now, I will still have a chance of getting some scratches later.
Also, I'm new to the leasing game, so am I allowed to fix them at another bodyshop other than the dealer's?
Can you guys also give me an estimate on how much it would cost to fix it? And worst case scenario, the cost to replace the entire front lip and side skirt?
Thanks!!

It's very difficult to give an estimate without pictures. I think somebody posted a couple of posts ago that they had their side skirt damaged as well and Sewell offers unpainted, primed replacement parts - I believe the side skirt was around $80.

don't worry about it, when you lease no one looks underneath the car. the inspector looks for major scratches and dings..etc.
If you get another lexus after they are more lenient and the inspector will give you a report after he is done giving you a chance to go to the body and fix it or they will give you their fee and you can decide which option is more suitable for you
