This crap happens to me all the time. No matter how far or where I park a huge trunk always end up parking next to me when there are hundreds of space open around where I park.

I know it's and old thread but I remembered a commercial from years ago that pretty much sums up this thread but for the life of me, I couldn't remember which commercial it was for. Well, while watching Nascar practice at Charlotte Motor Speedway, they aired the commercial. 'Till this day, this commercial still makes me laugh and go "yup, it never fails."
Enjoy!

I was walking towards my car which was parked far away and surrounded by empty parking spots when I watch this SUV coming towards me make a sudden and direct turn to park right next to my car. When I asked why she parked right up on my car when there are so many empty spots with plenty of room -- she got indignant and started yelling at me. I figure its a combo of a herding instinct and a moronic attraction to shiny objects.

You need at least one good eyeball to even find that car. I think you've got camouflage on it too.

I've always been weary parking at the Mall , grocery or whatnot and would often park a little further away from everyone else. Thus far I have never come back to my car with another right next to it ................. guess folks around my way are just to darn lazy and that extra 20 or 30 yards is just too much for them : ??

For me it's just another good way to burn a little bit more calories and keep my ummmmmm " nice " figure ??

I try to park at a middle distance, not so far as to appear arrogant and not so close that I'm in the door-banger zone. I'd really like to park all the way out just for the exercise. Plus, driving a "nice" car seems to attract panhandlers, so I don't want my car in a too isolated spot.

You can clearly see on the first 2 pics I was parked in the MIDDLE of the two spots, on the yellow line. Honestly I think it was done on purpose. I can't believe someone could be dumb like this.

If that was your IS you'd be keyed, you're just asking for it. The spot has a lot of room, it's more than 10 feet for both space. If you had parked close to your side of the space then there would have been more than enough room for the xB to fully open his door and still be clear of your car. You have to park defensively because people are out to get you sometimes. Parking in two spaces... you might as well hand them the key.
