Default 2015 Model Year Changes

Anyone hear of any changes coming to 2015 Model Year vehicles?

And anyone know when same goes into production?

When did 2014 Model Year vehicles go into production?

And how about the RC, when is that expected?

Since the 2014 is the first of the 3IS gen, I would guess very little will change. Car manufacturers typically don't do two major changes back to back. People talk about a 2-liter turbo, but I would think that would be more of a 4IS gen. I think the RC is expected this year (probably summer or later).

If they change anything I'm willing to bet it will be implementing the touchpad that the RC has instead of the joystick we currently have.

I doubt. If they would release it, the new CT200 would have it but that's released with same engine.

Not gonna happen. We would be hearing about the new engine by now, 2015 MY is only months away.

Agreed. Currently we have the 204HP 250 and the 306HP 350. When Lexus introduces an inline-4 turbo (I expect as a MY2016 or MY2017), I am wondering how that will slot into the 250/350. My hope is that the 250 becomes the IS200 (with 2.0L turbo-4) and the 350 becomes the IS300 (with a 3.0L turbo-6). These turbo engines would also be used in Toyota 2-door sports coupes (a Supra comeback?). We shall see.

I believe the hybrid will be the only 3IS 300. Although the engine is 2.5 litre, it's called 300. A 3.0t with ~350hp would probably be called IS400.

The GS saw a new 8AT after only one model year. We could see the 2.0T for MY15. If they release the 2.0T, I'll likely pounce. If not, FR-S it is.

I disagree. Were probably going to hear about the changes in early 4th quarter with the 2015 model arriving in late 4th quarter or early 2015.
