Jerky Downshifts + other issues on my new is350. Please Advise!

Wow thats pretty low, but then again I'm assuming those temps are around the upper Cali/mountainous areas? Haven't had a chance to visit the nothern neck yet--only be down south, SD. I do plan on visiting the bay area within the next six months so i'll be interesting to see what it'll be like up there.
I could deal with the diesel noise, I only wish the 3IS sounded as good as the GS when it accelerated (at least from the outside).

Just an update. After just four days, the vibration during cold idle that I was experiencing is gone. As for the transmission, it is silky smooth and I could't tell it was shifting if I didn't have gear position displayed in my tacho. So I think you might want to bring the car to the dealer to find out what is going on.
