Metal burning smell
After doing some high revving a few times with my car, i've noticed a distinctive odor.
It would be close described as burning metal?
Anyone experience this? Or have any knowledge of this?
I've smelled this before on my old car when installing new headers, it was the same type of smell.

Although I haven't personally experienced this, this other thread may be related:

The conclusion was that, to protect the engine during transport, a protective coating is added to the engine/cover that burns off. This may be what you're smelling.

What I smelled wasn't a burning metal smell. More of a burnt wire smell. Which came from the ac vents after driving into the hwy in sports mode. I'm no longer smelling the burnt wire smell.
However, I am now smelling burning coolant smell. I'm still smelling it which is why I'm planning to trade it for a Q50. I test drove a bunch of new car. None of the cars had any of the coolant smell or burning metal smell.
With all 4 windows rolled down, driving on the street you can smell a horrible burning coolant smell. It's pretty bad.

I've only smelled it after driving my car quite hard on sport+ mode.
Normally before I go home i'll do some redline pulls with the manual shift(cuz its fun). And i would smell it afterwards. Normal driving, no smell.
