Rear cup holder's stuck
The rear cup holder that's located in the armrest isn't sliding out. My rear passengers tried to push the cup holder in so the cup holder can slide out but its stuck in the armrest. any one having this problem?

I had the same thing last year when I bought the car, however reason why is the original owner must of spill soda on it and over time it's so sticky it got stuck too. Lucky for me since it was a CPO the dealer just replaces mine with a new unit.

Same thing is happening with mine, I spilled some soda so maybe I can somehow go in there and detail clean it and maybe it'll work.. It works but very sticky and takes a few tries sometimes before they pop out.

Just an idea, if you have any MAF cleaner or a can of CRC sensor cleaner you should be able to just spray it in and work the cup holders and loosen up the stickiness, it's plastic safe but that's the best idea I have right now

Yay! I figured it out. I'm the guy with the LS400 who posted the naughty reply about the engineer who designed this - the one suggesting he be hung upside by his junk and made to remove the tray blindfolded. My suggestion on that still stands. Nothwithstanding, I was able to remove the cup holder like this:
Slide the tray out as far as it will reach. On the top of the tray, there is a plastic tab on each side (2 tabs) that protrude just far enough to keep the tray from from coming all the way out. The tabs are located about 1.25" in on each side and they catch the top lip of the bezel when the tray is out as far as it should go. Using a flat tool (steel banding works great; a flat head screwdriver will work - just be extra careful) insert it between the top of the tray and the bezel and push the tab down slightly while pulling out on the side you are prying on. Pull out that side of the tray and do the same on the other side. The tray will release effortlessly at this point.
Next, there is a small phillips head screw on each side of the bezel securing it to the metal rectangular shaped hollow frame that contains the holder. Use a #1 phillips scredriver to remove the screws and remove the bezel for new cover installation. That's way too complicated to figure out, but once you know how its easy. Who's da' man!

I went to a country concert a few months back and bought my wife and I a Big Gulp full of Coke from 7-11 and it spilled into the cup holders since they were out of lids. What I ended up doing was pressing in to release the cup holder and pulling it out and spraying a little bit of WD-40 in the bottom and top of the center portion while tilting the armrest up. It got back in there and it works great now. Now when I press the plastic cover for the cup holders to come out, it comes out slower than before but more than fast enough for use.
