IS 220d rpm stay on 1,200 when heating is on
Hi, it is cold out side, so i turn on the heating, and the rpm goes till 1,200 per minute, until the engine temperature rise up till working temperature. Anyone knows how to turn down this function?
The second question is, when i press the climate control to Auto, every time the a/c turn on. How to make that the a/c condition didn't turn on when I press the Auto ?

You may have a hard time finding the answer you're looking for on this forum since most of us have the gasoline engines. But there are a few of you diesel guys in here. One member's name is yorki I think. He may be able to help you.

The second behavior you mentioned, i.e., the A/C light coming on when you press the "AUTO" button is normal on all 2IS cars including the gas powered ones, and I don't think you can stop that behavior. You are always free to press the A/C button after pressing "AUTO", but there is little good reason to do so. The 2IS has a variable displacement compressor, so if there is no need for either cooling or dehumidification the controller will dial back the capacity of the compressor to the point that it is doing practically nothing and creating negligible parasitic load on the engine, and it turns off completely when the ambient temperature is much below freezing.
