Default My IS250 cuts off in park

i have an 2006 Lexus IS 250 with 163,000 miles on it, today I went to pick up my sister the car cut off I had to get a jump off so I thought it was the battery then I then left school went to pick up my grandmother to take her to her doctors appt I got there I left car running when I came out the car was off, I sat down in it tried to crank wouldn't crank, I went back in building came back out I had left the ignition on in car I started to sit down in car the car starts to turn over by itself I never pressed the start button, so the car finally started in park but acted like it didn't wanna run in park I put in neutral it was fine it didn't cut off only when I put it in park the dash lights go off and car die down and eventually cuts off... Has anyone had this problem before someone please help.

Default My is250 cuts of in park

It cranks in neutral but I have to forcefully crank in park but keeping my foot on gas and sometimes still dosent work... I did a little more research and the only thing it could be is the park/neutral saftey swich which is located on transmission that swich can actually cause the transmission to go into limp mode which explains a lot.

I broke my switch during installation because of over tightening

What does this NSS neutral safety switch Do?
You should test the Battery and Alternator at any parts shop they will tell you.
Also go to multiple locations because. One person might tell you something wrong. This happened to my before.
I changed the alternator and battery last year. However sometimes When shfiting from drive to reverse my engine will cut out if I let it sit a second without gassing it.
Anyone else have this issue? I think this happend before too before battery and alternator
