IS250 opinions

Thinking about buying one... However do you guys think 145k miles is to much? For 11k.... Possibly able to rework them down. Comes wit extra set of rims for the winter with blizzaks. All the tools with spare. Or there's another one with 101k without anything extra for 9k.
I wouldn't buy a IS 250. If you're budget is 11K, you should buy a used Civic with 30K miles on it. You will get your money's worth for sure, and you will have a dependable car.
If you can expand your budget, go for an IS 350..

All DI engines (majority of manufacturers are forced in this direction due to EPA) have this issue, it's not limited to Lexus, but DI engines should be a no-go no matter who has built it. The only type of DI engine that works is the dual injection system found in the 3.5 liter engines..

Pole Position
The modification that they made was changing up the piston rings in order to reduce the carbon buildup from blowby into the crankcase. It will deter major issues in the crank case, which will lead to a dead engine, but it does nothing to prevent the carbon caking onto the valves intake/exhaust valves.
