Default 17 to 19 tires and lots more road noise.

I did the FSport suspension upgrades on my 2013 IS250. I drove the car with stock 17 inches tires. Ride was stiffer, and suspension seemed a little floaty over small bumps. Quite, no road noise.
I bought FSport 19 inch wheels, I was worried about more of a rigid ride getting them. I bought Michelin A/s 3 tires in the exact recommend sizes Lxus F sport published. Now the ride is better, no floaty, but lots more road noise.

Is this the 19 wheels and tires, or just the tires themselves. I have 30 days to return the tires if I am not happy. F Sport recommends PS2 Michelin tires, but they are discontinued. I have wet roads, and cold winter days 2-3 months a year. 15-35 degrees. So I went with A/S tires instead of summer ones.

Has anyone else had this same issue? What brand tires on these larger wheels helped the road noise? Is these hope? Or just suck it up and live with it.

Thanks

the tire could cause extra road noise... my last set of tires Yokohama S.Drive was way way quieter than my current Toyo T1-Sport..

The A/S 3+'s are a bit noisy, just had them put on my 350. Still quieter than the Yokohama Avid Envigors I had on before though.

I have to say, I am not liking the nosie. Do you have 19 or bigger?
I wished I knew what to buy. I pay 500 more to get rid of the nosie. What a change between 17 to 19s in nosie. Hopefully there is a better tire.

Stock 18's.

It's not like the IS is the quietest car on the road, it's fairly noisy for a Lexus. Some more sound deadening always helps.

I hear you. However my 2013 was amazing quite. Well compared to what... ? But there is a big deference between the stock 17s compared to the F Sport 19s..

simply put, the 19s are larger.. an increased contact patch alone will contribute to increased levels of road noise. My 350 is loud also but ive gotten used to it.

there are tire rating for road noise and many other things you can find online. research a tire before you buy if it is important to you

My friend has a 2013 Audi S4 with those exact tires on it and they tried 3 sets of tires, all of them were incredibly noisy. They ended up switching tires completely away from the AS3's.

I had a set of Pilot Sports on my IS350's and they were incredibly noisy as well. Overall l'm not a fan of Michelin lately and road noise..
