2010 IS250 AWD - Automatic Transmission Problem?
I have noticed a small lack of response occasionally when accelerating from a complete stop.
A few days ago, I was leaving for work. I backed out of my parking space and placed the vehicle in drive. I moved forward slightly and then suddenly would not continue to move forward.
The engine was still running, and pressing the accelerator caused the engine to rev, but my vehicle would not move. Also, the check engine light came on and the brake pedal became very stiff.
I placed the vehicle in park and and then placed it in drive, but the vehicle would still not move.
I placed the vehicle in park again and turned off the car. I restarted the car and placed it in drive. The check engine light was now off, and the vehicle moved forward as typical.
Does anyone have any insight on what may have caused this? Do I need to have something checked? Is the lack of response in accelerating from a stop a cause for concern?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!
