Ordered from Xenon Depot and got a confirmation receipt showing my total. Then two days later I looked at online banking and see the charge posted. In addition I see a "foreign transaction" fee pertaining to that charge.

I contacted Xenon Depot and was told my credit card did it, not them. Well if that is going to be charged when you order from them, it should be disclosed by them at the time of placing your order and it should certainly be on your receipt. They can argue all day long that it is Visa and/or MasterCard charging it, but it's because of the way they processed the transaction. I've ordered MANY times from Canada and only once have I ever been charged a transaction fee. That one time, it was disclosed to me that there may be a fee for the conversion of the US$ to CAN$.

I've ordered from xenon depot twice never had a problem. Pretty sure its your card charging you an international fee

It is the credit card that's charging this fee. I used Paypal for my last order with Xenon Depot and it was fine.

I didn't have that problem either, and I used a VISA

It was a Visa debit card issued from a US Bank. The charge posted because of the conversion from US to Canadian. That's what the bank said.

We are based in Canada, sometimes credit card companies in the US will charge a foreign transaction fee when you make a purchase outside the US. We don't have any control over these fees as they are charged by the card company and not by us. Sometimes if you call them they will waive the fee.
