2008 IS350 rims related question
Hi,
This is my first post at Club Lexus.
I recently bought a 2008 IS350. I have a few questions but I'll put them in individual threads. This one is regarding rims. I am looking to buy used 17" stock rims for my vehicle. Will any 17x8 in. Lexus rims w/ 5-114 bolt pattern fit my vehicle? Are all four rims same size or they are staggered as the tires?
I'll appreciate a response.

Thanks guys. Will there be any additional parts required to install them i.e. spacers etc.?
Sorry guys the above might sound like a silly question as for my previous car Honda Civic all I needed to know was the rim size and bolt pattern.

Yes I have 18" stock rims that came with the car and the tire sizes that you mentioned above. But on the car right now I have 17" after market rims with winter tires (235/45-17 in rear and 225/45-7 in front). I am planning to replace those 17" after market rims with 17" stock rims.

[QUOTE=Gville350;8786895] you are supposed to have 18x8 up front and 18x8.5 in the rear. Yes, a staggered setup.QUOTE]
So, if I am getting 17" rims do they need to be staggered as well i.e. 17x8 in front and17x8.5 in the rear?
Thanks

the 17" lexus wheels mostly came on base model RWD and exclusively on the 2IS AWD. YES you can fit the 17's on an is350 (nothing smaller than 17) and NO it is not staggered. It is 17x8 all around. You can how ever put staggered tires on 17x8 although not recommended
I currently have an IS350 brake setup on my 2IS AWD with OEM 17's. However, If you upgrade to F-Sport Calipers, you cannot fit any wheels lower than 18"

YES! However to save money, I would go with 205/50-17 (Its what I run). There is a significant price difference in the size from the 225/45 as well as more available selection of tires in the 205/50 market. I've seen about a $30-40 price difference per tire Plus its a little less harsh ride quality when you raise the tire profile. I'm running Michelin X-Ice

Depends on the wheel. Not every 17" wheel will clear IS350 brake calipers, and there isn't a very good knowledge base here on 17" rim fitment.
