Widest tire on x package oem rims?
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to know what is the widest setup some of our member have on their is250 rwd x package rims at stock height? Oem size is 225/45/18 front and 255/40/18

stock should be a 225/40/18 and 255/40/18.
anyway, generally from what I've seen, you can usually go up about 10-20 on the width, but then you'd want to reduce the height of the sidewall. So maybe something like 235/35/18 or 245/35/18 for the front, and then 265/35/18 or 275/35/18 on the rear. I don't know if it's been done, just an example of what I've seen from other cars in the past.

Yep. Even 245/40 will only be about 1.6mph off. 245/35 would put it almost 1mph off the other direction, just to give an idea of what you might be looking at if you change them.

Also, the 235/40 would give about a 1/8" taller sidewall. 245/40 about 1/4" taller. 245/35 about 1/8" shorter.
