Ipod adapters - Which one are you using in your ISX50
Ive now had my 09 350 for about 3 months and I really want to get my iphone hooked into it.
After lots of research on here most people seem to like the Vaistech unit, but the videos on their website make it look like it is kind of generic how it works, or they are lacking a lot of info in there. For the price of this unit compared to others Id hope for more (im not even sure it doesn't have more, I just cant find solid info or reviews on it)
I mainly want to know how each unit works. mainly searching playlists. Posting a video of yours accessing playlists would be great!!
I have the 2009, with Navi but non ML.I really want to be able to select playlists and control from the touch screen. Price isn't a major issue but Id rather not spend $250 on a unit that doesn't really do much more than a $100 unit. Thanks for any input on whatever brand your using!!

There is an external input 3.5 mm on the armrest storage and there is a 12V supply, just plug in the Iphone there for music.
You are maybe looking for more functionality I guess.

I don't recommend Vaistech. Just check out their forum. I owned probably 6 devices over 2 Lexus and their dedication to their customers is zero. They released the ML+ a few years back and within 18 months discontinued support for it. They have promised a newer unit, but have said delays are because of the newer apple IOS...and that was with 6.0...lame.

From what I understand, Vaistech has already finished on the new version that will support iOS7 but they're waiting for a response from Apple. Wether it will support Apple's new car integration I don't know but it would be a pretty sweet feature if it did. If it doesn't i'm assuming the interface will look just like the iVic.
The cheapest alternative while still being able to control your ipod through your steering wheel would be to get Lexus's Interface kit. Just make sure to log in using your clublexus credentials to get the discount.

I'm not recommend VAISTech either. Just bough ML+ less than a year and discontinued already and will not support Iphone5 which is suck. Also all the update with add new app will not going to happen as their promise.
I just got response from their technical support person today. They test with IOS7 beta only but haven't test with the final release version. So the final answer is they are not sure if it will work with IOS7 or not at this moment.

Thanks for so many replies and glad I didn't just order the new unit. Especially since itll be for my 5s running ios 7 already.
Anyone have much experience with the Lexus interface kit? Id love to hear more thoughts and opinions on it, especially how it will work with the new iPhone and the new lighting plug (id use the 30pin to lighting adapter on it)
I also think Ive read that a usb or some type of data connection became standard in 2010 (if this is true I would have looked a little harder for 1 year newer) Is this true and how well does it work?
