The hankook v12 have better grip than any tire I have tried so far. They are also the quietest. Best bang for the buck.
I have tried Dunlop, nanking, HTR ZIII, and a few cheapo tires.
However, at 1.2k you could easily get PSS. Just shopped around, Discount tires got me a set of 19s for $1000.

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports on my car. They are staggered 19's and cost me 1000 out the door at my local shop. One of the highest rated tires on Tirerack for performance summer.

I just bought the Bridgestone RE760 Sports for $800 out the door (18" Wheels). I was about to get the Notto Motivos, but I decided not to out of fear of the hard tire being noisy over time. The Bridgestones are superior in traction to the OEM tires and are super quiet. I only can hope they will last longer than the OEM tires that only went 17k.

Hankook v12 are very sold had them on my g35. When they needed to be changed i picked up some federal 595 evos (cheaper tire) was very impressed with them. I just got my lexus last month and it needed new tires so i bought the same federals again. I know its not high end but never had an issue

I have the V12's now and liked them. Very comfortable wheels for daily. Im a bit of a spirited driver so I may be looking in to PSS's or the P-04's. Life seems to be the norm for directional tires.
To say somthing though, the tire life on the V12's are pretty good. I dont know about the others I listed but I'm easily at 20,000 miles with 60% of the tire still there. Others will say they got 15-20k out of their oem Turanza's but I got them to an even 30,000 out of them, thats with a new 350! I was dropping the hammer every chance I got.

I've had them for a few years now and I've had so much fun with them. I've used them on the track once and they've handled really well. As to noise, I've never heard anything in the cabin, even with the windows down. I've done long road trips as well from Seattle to Cali and back, and never had any issues with noise. I'm definitely going with this brand again when the time to replace them comes.
