lol at these responses.
450 is fair. if you want quality paint brand and work, its usually around 500. price does not get cheaper because of more work. body shop work is one of the few things i can honestly say you get what you pay for. educate yourself with quality paint brand with good warranties and authorized shops that can use it from these manufactures.
should your insurance claim be cheaper since you wrecked most of your car and a shop should cut you a deal because of this?

And SGM is a 2 stage. Just base coat and clear. Pearls and candies are 3 stages

It comes down to the paint, amount and quality of clear used and other chemicals used to paint the bumpers. Also and not less important...... the painting abilities of the person doing the job.
I would rather pay 900.00 for a kick in the pants job rather than 650.00 for crappy job with cheap paint.

SFP is like.. yeah haha. i had a few parts painted for me in SFP and they matched it best they can. and they were reputable places. 450 is within the price range i say. but on the high side. but definitely inline. and to do 2 bumpers it shouldnt be 900. if thats his price ask him to through in the engine cover like sffd103 said or work out something else thats fair.

You know the shop does great work. I would pay the $900 and nicely say you are not asking for a discount for concern they would put less time or effort into the job. Tell them you want to be just as happy with this job as the last one.
There is no reason the shop should lower the price because they are doing two bumpers. The shop is making money, but with a $900 invoice how much can they be making after labor, paint and supplies? If the shop doesn't make money then they shut down and you have nobody to take care of you if a problem arises. Companies have to make money.
