Best all season tire
Hi, i've been looking for new all-season tire since christmas and can't make a choice! Obviousvly there is still a lot of time until i remove my winter tire. The size will be 235/40/18
I'm driving an is350 awd :
Eagle f1 asymetric all-season ( new model)
Conti dws
Michelin pilot sport a/s plus
Michelin primacy mxm4
1-performance
2- treadlife
P.s : will not use them during winter only april to november ( live in quebec)

I haven't researched too much of this, but the MXM4's are known to be soft tires that squeal early. Beyond that, they are confortable and quiet.
I have the Hankook Ventus's on my 250 RWD and like them a lot. Don't know if they are available for the 350 AWD though.

I have been running the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus on the front for about six months and really like them. Going to be putting a pair on the rear within the next month or so.

with performance as your #1 item, and you already having dedicated winter tires, it makes no sense to use all seasons.
Summer tires will offer you not only significantly better performance for acceleration and handling, but up to 30-40% shorter braking distance, especially in the rain, compared to all seasons.
Tread life won't be as good, but I'll take a little more spent on tires over time for stopping 30-40% shorter.
If you simply insist on all seasons anyway, the DWS is probably the best of the bunch.

Ya, i'm in the same position as you (i'm in Ottawa) ..... i went with Eagle GT All Seasons. Yes, dedicated summer tires are better performance wise but are also $75-100 cdn more per tire. Plus doing this, putting winters on early isn't so important.
Since i'm not pushing the car to its limits anyway this tires grip is fine .... and its quiet and wears well.
I loved the Summer Bridgestone RE040's i had on my IS300 years back .....grip was amazing ... but at $375 per tire, forget it. Plus, below 15 dec C temp the grip fell off big time ..... might as well as been driving with slicks the rubber was so hard.

BTW .... the F1 and GT rate equally across all performance aspects except the the F1 is better for hydroplaning ... so go for it, especially if u get a good price.

I have to side with Sango and Kurtz. If you have a dedicated winter setup, you might as well have a dedicated summer set up. Paying $400 extra to stop 30-40% shorter seems like a no brainer to me.
That being said, I had Cooper CS4 all seasons on my Accord before I traded it in. They saw two and a half full years of use, and they held up ok in icy conditions. The best thing about them was probably the wear. When I traded my car in they looked like brand new tires. From your selections, I would go with with Continental DWS.
