225/35/19 or 235/35/19
I just purchased some Avant Garde M368 wheels in 19x8.5. I need to buy tires now and I'm most likely going to buy the Hankook V12's. I don't want the stretched look, do I go with a 225/35/19 or 235/35/19? I initially wanted the 225 to keep the diameter the closest to oem so my speedometer is close, but I'm worried they will look stretched.
Anybody know if 225/35/19 tires will look stretched with this setup? Any pics of this tire in a 225 on a 8.5 wheel?
I have done some searches and haven't found anything good enough to answer my question yet.
Thanks!

Are you AWD? Here's a pic of my car, 19x8.5 +35 all around on 225/35/19 (I think I should've went 235 all around and fix the tabs that it'll probably rub on...)

Different tires will stretch differently too, keep that in mind

How much wheel lip is sticking out on your current setup? What kind of tires are you running?

Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought the height of the tire/wheel would affect the speedo/odometer. Not the width of the tire. So 225 or 235 won't make a difference in that market. I'm dropped on I believe 19x8.5 front 19x10 with +20 offsets. 235/35 up front 265/30 in rear. Runs fine, small minor rubbage but used the heat gun to wheel liner method and cured that quick and easy. I did notice ny speedo is about 2 or 3 mph off since going to these rims and tires. Btw I'm on hankook v12's. Ride is great! Better than oem garbage tires.

FYI: I believe the tires themselves make a difference as well. I just got some Michelin PSS for my daily driver, and the sidewall "angle" looks much different than from my Continentals I had previously, even though it is the same exact size.
I also noticed this when I compared my stock Dunlops on my old IS sedan to my PS2's on my G-spider rims. Same tire/wheel specs, but the tires looked different on the wheel. The Michelins appear more square with the rim/less "stretched" or angled.
I believe part of it is due to any rim-guard the tire may have to protect against curb rash.
Anyway, here's some Michelin PS2's: 225/35 on 19x8.5 front, 265/35 on 19x9 rear
