World's first flat bottom NO TOP steering wheel *pics inside*
Anywho, the idea originally came from me seeing a flat bottom no top ugly momo steering wheel years ago. Then I was keeping the idea around of a flat top flat bottom steering wheel with a fellow buddy of mine who owns an IS350. He brought up doing a no top flat bottom and it stuck. I started doing sketches and drawing up how exactly I wanted the ends of the wheel to look.
After much debate in my head I threw the idea to a builder, Josh knows who, and the builder came back with "sorry it's a liability and I will not do it" After I advised him it's strictly for car shows and I don't mind signing a waiver to not hold you responsible if I die in a furry of deathly crashes and failed air bag he agreed.
On to the pics... Let's begin the hateful comments
P.S. I opted for NO carbon fiber. Nothing against those that have it. That carbon fiber look isn't my taste. I also opted for no blue or white or whatever color stitching. I wanted it to look the least amount of distracting as possible.... It should match my custom shift **** that my wife is currently using very nicely even though the shift **** has white stitching that matches the f-sport interior and is currently getting the carbon fiber part chromed plated, painted, and sealed by krometics in Dallas, TX. I sanded down the carbon fiber portion.
