It should be noted that radarmirror.com fixes these for $99.

marks on the mirror are caused by excessive pressure on the mirror, There is no fix for this.

Actually it seems like it's repairable, look at post#29:

I sent mine in yesterday so we'll see how it goes...

Radar-mirror.com is LEGIT.

The mirror arrived today after about a week and I must say it was definitely worth it! It was about $100 w/shipping.

I don't have a picture of my mirror before the repair but I can tell you it was horrible; black spots, lines, haziness, etc...

How do you take the mirror off? If there is already a thread, can someone list the link for me.

I just did mine about 15min ago.

Bought the mirror panel directly from radarmirror (no warranty if installing yourself, but I don't care)

It is super easy and took me under 10min - it is optional to remove the mirror from the car, I chose NOT to.

Unsnap the mirror frame, then you will see 2 wires soldered to the metal frame of the glass.

Tin the new frame in a couple spots and solder the wires to it.

Replace the foam weatherstrip on the back of the glass ( I had some nice Traxxas stuff that came with my slash 4x4!)

Put the mirror in place and replace the frame (snap it in carefully so as not to put pressure on the mirror) and make sure the circuit board and rubber button are correctly positioned.

Voila!

Tested mine with a flashlight shining on it and works like a charm!

My CPO had this issue when I first bought it. My dealership didn't want to replace it even though it was a CPO so I called Lexus headquarters. This was not something that should have been overlooked during the CPO inspection. In the end, it was replaced with one of the newer mirrors and Lexus HQ gave me $300 in Lexus Courtesy credit.

Does your new mirror have a compass?

No compass on the new one and the homelink buttons are under the mirror.
