Question About Rolling Fenders
I just called my local shop because I need to fix my front fender and get it rolled because I rub.
They said rolling the front fender will cause ripples.
Is there anyway to roll it without getting ripples?
I need em rolled, but the dimples he described sound like it'd look worse.
Thoughts?

unless your local shop has no clue how to roll fenders or is simply inexperienced, of course they will tell you that it might turn out bad - that's a "CYA" move so you don't complain about it afterwards.
(on a related note, if your front fenders have been re-sprayed, it would be impossible for your local shop to work on your 2is and not have issues show up afterward.)
there are two mounting tabs on the inside edge of the fender that attaches the fender liner to the fender. when rolling that section, it may not turn out 100% smooth - unless the person doing the work is skilled enough to work on that and get the roll just right. in order to do that, it's a very tricky combination of the proper amount of heat and pressure. too much heat, you burn the clearcoat. not enough, spiderweb cracks. too much pressure, you unnecessarily pull the fenders out. not enough, and you end up with a half-rolled fender.
all excess verbage aside, i'd recommend albert @ awdfitted. he worked on MKsky's and my 2is's (we were the first of many afterwards), and the fender rolling job came out very well.

Well if u worry about the fender rolling will get damage.. I believe it is not gonna be 100% right way to prevent damage, fenders on my ride already mess up because Im running low offset rims.. Rear fenders are fine and the front fenders are mess up because I have to make the car turn.. It is better then nothing to know the fender will be mess...
