Just was noticing that when you look at my new 2011 IS250 from the rear. On the right side of the trunk it has the chrome lettering that says "AWD IS-250" but on the left there is nothing. I've noticed on other IS-250's that on the left it says "Lexus" in chrome lettering. Is this something they're not doing on the 2011's. I just noticed it. Not a big deal as usually i'm not a fan of all those chrome emblems and things anyway...but just was wondering.
Yep, Lexus removed the "LEXUS" emblem on the back left of the trunk starting in 2011. I believe its not only the IS either. I guess they realized the "L" logo is already enough to signify its a Lexus lol
Yeah. I don't think Audi, Mercedes, BMW have their badges in the back, instead, relying on their (quite well-known) symbols to distinguish their brand. I think Lexus is taking a step in that direction.
Our rep told us Lexus was trying to make the vehicle appear a little more conservative, which makes no sense to me, so they removed the "lexus" from all MY11 cars
Wow I didn't even notice that! I just bought a 2011 IS250C and it never crossed my mind that the "Lexus" was gone. It's alright...it was hard to detail around those letters anyway, haha!
