How much damage? Front bumper damage...
Came off a 1200 mile road trip this Sunday and was due for an oil change... Dropped car off to mechanic and went home. Got a call a few hours later saying one of the mechanics scraped the front of the bumper . They're insurance is going to take care of it. Pics are attached, how bad does it look?
Don't mind all the Maryland wildlife on the front bumper, just doing my part to control the insect population

Damage looks pretty extensive. Looks like you'll need to replace your entire front bumper and the driver side quarter panel. Can't really tell from the pics, but your driver side head light looks to be pushed in a little, but I don't really see any damage to it.
What did the mechanic do, park your car near a wall or something? Good luck. Let us know the outcome.

Sorry to hear about your car. Their insurance company is looking at 3-4K worth of damage. Make sure they use the best body shop around for the repairs. I wouldn't use that mechanic anymore and it's very easy to change your own oil so things like this don't happen again. GL

fender might be salvageable, bumper skin will need to be replaced and the headlight just looks like it needs to be pushed back into place. 3-4k sounds right.
dont take it to a place they recommended, definitely let them take it to have it worked on. Take it too a good body shop and get a quote and submit it to there insurance company or owner of the shop.

i had almost identical damage to my car too. Same exact spot as yours. My body guy was able to repair the bumper and the fender. Repainted it and then blended it with the rest of the car. Only problem is the damage destroyed part of my headlight housing on the inside, leaving the headlight kinda outta position. All in all it cost about...$700-800? But if your insurance is covering it then go for OEM replacement parts. My car is GFM so paint was $$$.
