Default trouble turning seatbelt beep off

according to the DIY:

1. turn the key to the ON position which means pressing the start button twice on the new IS since it doesn't has the key, foot off the brake
2. Press the trip reset button couple of times until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B)
3. turn the ignition to the LOCK (OFF) position
4. unbuckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled.
5. turn the key to the ON position again press the start button twice. when the dash lights comes on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds. (editor's note, hold it more like 30 sec)
6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
7.and the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.
8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off.

i'm having trouble doing this in my 09.. anyone successfully accomplish this in an 09?

I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong. Here's what I did: pressed the ignition button twice with my foot off the brake, toggled to odo, pressed the ignition button again once to turn it off, pressed it twice again to turn it back on, held down the odo button again for 30 seconds (while buckling the seatbelt within the first 15 seconds), still no "b on"/"b off". What am I doing wrong?!?!

don't put your headlightes @ auto
just put it @ the off position. then it should work

i can confirm that this works on 09

I usually have the same problem just because I think 30 seconds has gone by faster than it has just and i do it I skip steps 3 and 4 and it works fine set trip to ODO hold it for 30 seconds and buckle the seatbelt and it should bring up the B/on B/off option

I finally did it!! I had my headlight switch off the entire time but I had my foglight to the on position. I guess it had to be turned off. Someone should really add that to the DIY!!
