Disable seatbelt beep sound?
Anyone know how to disable the seatbelt beep sound? The lexus dealer guys don't know it either. I can not stand the beeping sound when I remove my seatbelt.

Quick answer is here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=211314
1. turn the key to the ON position which means pressing the start button twice on the new IS since it doesn't has the key, foot off the brake
2. Press the trip reset button couple of times until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B)
3. turn the ignition to the LOCK (OFF) position
4. unbuckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled.
5. turn the key to the ON position again press the start button twice. when the dash lights comes on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds. (editor's note, hold it more like 30 sec)
6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
7.and the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.
8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off.

I think it only starts beeping if the car is on drive and the driver or the passenger still does not have the seatbelt on. When the car was on park and i didnt have my seatbelts, it didnt beep,

Is there another procedure to turn off the seatbelt warning beep?

One of the first mods I did and worked great! Now I don't have to hear the Seatbelt alarm when I'm driving from my mailbox to my garage!
That extra constant reminder was just not needed during that time!

Once all the steps are done get out of the car and spin around 3 times while yelling "my monkey made me do it". I think I would rather just where the seatbelt at least I know I'm a little safer in case of an accident and I remove the chance of a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt when I get the ticket for speeding.
