Default Cracked rim

I have a 2006 IS 350 with a cracked (and bent) front rim (18" double spoke). Lexus wants $800+ for a new rim and says its not covered by the warranty because it's due to hitting something hard. Any thoughts on this? Shouldn't a wheel designed to carry low-profile tires be able to withstand some bumps in the road?

Any ideas how to find out whether Lexus would cover this under the warranty?

Easy, they won't and u will never get around them on a crack/bent rim. Look in the classified for a used rim or call around the junkyards.

$800 for ONE rim?! It should be like half that... sewell has a set of 4 for $1890 in carbon metallic and chrome and for $1500 in black (All OEM rims for 2006-2008)

Yea if you dont have the wheel warranty you are SOL. Like ek9vboi said look in the classified section. Or do something different.

The stock wheels arent very tough. I know Ive been thru 2 of them already. If your worried though I think you can up to 45 instead of 40. You can also get it fixed or buy a new one like lobuxracer suggested.
