Default Mirrors keep adjusting

I have the Lux Pkg with memory seats/mirrors.

Every time I unlock the driver's door, I hear my rearview mirror adjust back to its memory position, even though I haven't moved the mirrors (and even if they are not in the tilt down function). Anyone else experience this? I just passed 10,000 mi, so I'm going to bring it up to the dealer--just wanted to see if this is common.

I also have been experiencing problems with the tilt-down function, which I know others have posted problems with. I'm assuming these problems are related.

Thanks.

try to turn off the auto/tilt feature and see if they still do it? you could possible have a loose servo (motor) that is adjusting the mirror??

I would try this and if that doesnt solve the issue or let you know what is wrong then I would take it in for service next time you are in that area.

Does it whether tilt is on or off.

I have the lux pac too and sounds like you have the driving position memory linked to the door unlock operation.

That doesn't sound right. Though I wouldn't say I pay 100% attention, I don't think mine will adjust to the memory position if it wasn't adjusted out of position on the previous trip. (assuming you use the same key)

I know--it re-adjusts every time I unock the door. It shouldn't do that if I haven't moved the mirrors.

yeah--I know it didnt used to do this. I park in the garage in my house, so it's easy to hear now that it's doing this.

Guess I'll have them check it out next month @ the dealer

My driver's side mirror always returns to the wrong position after angling down for reverse. It's annoying, but I don't really care right now. Maybe at the next service.

Mine are linked (wife's key sets hers, my key sets mine), my car is also garaged and I never hear it adjust unless she's been driving. I almost never use the auto-tilt feature though. If you never use it as well, then there is something wrong with your car.

I have mine link to my key fob and I do hear it adjust mostly everytime i unlock the car too. I only have 1 of the key fob set and I usually don't adjust the mirrors too. It seems like it adjust right back to the same settings. I kinda thought it was the norm just to let you know that it's working
