I get a light grind from 1 -> 2 sometimes and its not that noticeable to anyone else but I notice it.

The bad grind happens from 2 -> 1 at low speeds and sometime even completely stopped, other times it "pops" into 1 without issues at the right speed.

Not entirely related but at cold drives first gear take off causes lots of vibration, no matter how slow I let off the clutch.

I think it is just the tranny, mine is a '10 with only 50,000 kms. This tranny is not the easiest to work with but not as bad as people make it out to be. Sure it could be smoother and more user friendly but not THAT bad once you get used to it.
