Aftermarket AMP and SUB install
I've been around the boards over and over searching and couldn't find answers I was looking for... What exactly will I need besides Amp, Sub, amp kit to hook up 2 12" subs and an amp to the stock system? I'm trying to do some homework before I go out and get things ripped apart and installed. I need to know they know what they're doing by asking yall here first. Thanks for your help

That's mostly all you'll need, a few wires, they'll need to tap into the wiring from your rear door speakers unless you have an aftermarket head unit. I recommend a capacitor, but its definitely not required.

So as far as my Hz range, I did read one post when dude tapped into some wires somewhere and his range was only filtered range the stock sub could handle 50-80hz I believe. What's the way around that?

you didn't search hard enough my friend. I did a write up on this a while back, it will answer most of your question and has a low cost solution to get great sound from the stock system.

So that I understand, instead of just tapping into the sub wires with minimal freq, you used the sub woofer AND the front 2 woofers wires hooked up to the LOC for full freq and then hooked up all that to the amp and good to go right?

I couldn't quite see, but did you tap into the wires while they're still connected to the harness or did you just clip them from the harness and connect?

Got everything installed, the subwoofer was the only thing tapped into with the LOC, i'm about to adjust the crossover on my amp today. It sounds GOOD!! 2 12" in a sealed box... It's not too much at all nothing is rattling, and I mean NOTHING. It sounds so crisp and clean!!!
