Default Traction control threshhold

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone out there knew what wheelspin causes the TCS to kick in.

Once I have my new wheels installed my fronts will be 1.56% larger, and rears 1.79% larger in rolling diameter. So there will be a .23% difference from stock. I realize this is a very close setup and probably won't cause problems (rears will travel 12 feet more per mile than fronts), but at what point does someone actually have a problem with TCS interferring when driving in a straight line with no actual wheelspin, just rolling diameter differences?

Huh?? You are asking what causes the TCS to turn on?? The car losing any kind of traction is what causes it.

Couldn't have said it better than myself.

Well, if your rears are travelling faster than your fronts, the ecu is going to interpret that as a loss of traction, in this case, its seeing 12 feet every mile as wheelspin. The TCS light seems *very* touchy, coming on before you can even hear a wheel chirp in my case, so I was wondering how far that threshhold goes before its going to interpret a larger diameter difference as wheelspin.
