I just got an email from my Lexus dealer saying, "The 2007 IS 350 models have been allocated to our dealership. Would you like more information?"

Does that mean that they already have it?

no that means they are allocated. they should be there in about 3 weeks.

Has anyone seen a 2007 on the lot yet? Maybe in CA, since your closer to Japan.

So basically this just means that they know what they're going to have now, right? Does anyone know if all dealers should know this by now?

I know when the 06's came out, initially every dealer got one 250 and one 350. Maybe this year, they will actually produce enough with options pkgs. that will satisfy most customers instead of the custom order process. However, since most dealers get full MSRP on custom orders and will negotiate cars on the lot, what is the incentive to put more cars on the lot--fear of losing impulse buyers?

i was talking to my salesperson the other day and he said that 2 '07 came in but they didn't have any pricing on them yet. but i didn't confirm that. over here, even if they say they have it on the lot, it doesn't mean its at the dealership because the area is so small. they have most of their cars at an offsite location.

there won't be any deals on 07 until 06s are gone.. plus more demand means no deals.. wonder how much a 07 250rwd will cost in the next 3 months

its the same car with a fin antenna.. i was talking to my mom's friend who a sales at longo lexus.. he told me allocation for the 07 won't pick up until at least Jan... and that he gets alot of calls from people wanting the 07 with this and that..

i asked him about a 07 because my friend wants a 2is also.. he told me the best thing to do is to wait until Jan. or later.. as price will be negotiable and inventory will increase.. its impossible for him to give a good deal on a specific color with specific package and option when early batches of 07 hit the shore
