It had a turbo east piggyback but got ruined. I was told that the company closed down. So basically the car is running on a stock ecu for now.

oh wow that company has been closed since like 07 haha. Sounds like you may have an old turbo set up as well. But when it comes down to piggyback/standalone. It all depends on your budget as well as whos going to tune it. Once you figure out whos tuning it then i would consult with them to see what piggy/standlone they recommend. I had the AEM FIC on my turbo IS. It was a headache at first but once i got the right person to tune it the car drove amazing.

Dezod Motorsport sells a plug and play AEM EMS for the IS300....I think it's on back order but you can always call them and ask.

I actually have a AEM V1 and DEZOD harness with AEM 3.5 bar map and IACV. I am currently running the Haltech ecu at the moment and dont plan to convert over to AEM. It just happened to come with the car when i bought it.
