It is up to you but just remember, if you use Synthetic and have an oil leak then the leak will be worse due to the particle make-up of Synthetic oil. It is great for a car with no leaks as it can go further than conventional motor oil. However, if there is a leak it will seek it out and you will be buying synthetic oil each week to top it off.
I would suggest inspecting the engine very closely to be sure there are no leaks anywhere if you are wanting to go Synthetic.
I know some people will use both depending on the season, but I have always just stuck with conventional 5W-30 motor oil and have never had an issue.

conventional is fine as long as its of a good brand. personally i would run a synthetic or at the very least a blend. its ability to stick to metal is what im after. itll help eliminate the chance of dry starts and oil starvation.
