Default engine oil

What type of motor oil does a 2005 Lexus IS 300 use? Synthetic or normal. Does it matter the 5W 10 W..

synthetic vs dino oil is personal preference... and the weight should be stated on the oil cap... otherwise it is also personal preference...

if you don't know what it should be using, i would suggest u take it to a dealer.

Your car calls for 5W30. Whether you use synthetic or conventional, is your own personal preference.
