Replacing Hoses, Belt And Other Rubber
Last time I had my car into the mechanic, I was told that my hoses are dry rotting and require change. It occurs to me that this would be a good time to deal with anything that's rubber given that my 1996 LS is nearly 16 years old. Here are my questions:
1) What hoses are good candidates to replace?
2) Does it make sense to replace all drive belts?
3) What other rubber components should I consider changing?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I would replace all of the hoses involved with the radiator/cooling system as you do not want a coolant leak in such a pivotal cooling component. (reference http://www.lexuspartseast.com/parts-...-03-10062.html for all the hoses that you need to replace) It's also a sagacious idea to replace the ventilation hose and vacuum hoses.
As for replacing the belts in your car is concerned, I would most definitely consider green-lighting the replacement of your V-belt. If the V-belt on your ride is original then there's a good chance that lesions have formed in the belt structure..
There are a few crucial rubber seals that may need to be replaced, but I can't properly answer that question right now because I'm supposed to be working I'm sure that other forum members will address that issue though!
