Thanks. Actually, no snow at all except for on the mountains...

By the way, do you have a grounding kit installed in your car? I heard many good things from e-shift owners that a grounding kit improves the shifting and idling of automatic is300's. It can also stabilize the sensors and electronics in and around the engine bay. Might be a good idea for a minor mod that can be done yourself for relatively cheap... I did mine for about 40 bucks in materials and around 2 hours. I noticed a VERY slight change for the better in the way my car runs but it is barely worth mentioning but for an automatic, the improvement may be more noticeable. I have some pics that will guide you through the process if you or anyone else would like. This is a DIY mod but there are commercial kits sold on ebay and other places that you can buy for $80-100. These kits are all pre-fabricated and will be easier to install than what I have done myself. However, I enjoy doing this kind of stuff and for half the price.... why not?

Let me know if anyone is interested...

Aloha

I live 5 minutes down the street from Tripler. Off of Salt Lake BLVD. I can see the hospital from my place. Cute pink buildings! haha

Anyways, I was looking at the pics I have of my grounding kit install and some of them aren't very clear. I will take better shots and post them up within the next few days...

Here are the PDF instructions for the IS300 Teck grounding kit. Maybe somebody here can host the file. These links will only be good temporarily.

Good for 100 DL's @7 days: https://www.yousendit.com/download/T...Rnd6NE4zZUE9PQ

Good For 10 DL's @90 days: http://rapidshare.com/files/17667436...IS300.pdf.html

Good info on the Teck grounding kit. A lot more detailed than what I would have posted... Since that is covered, here's a link to the CDD delete mod in case any of you manual owners haven't already done it.

I'm going with the brake line union since there appears to be less chance of air being trapped in the line. It seems like people who just gutted their CDD still had air in their line...which is probably why the engagement point changed.

This just gets rid of that annoying feeling like the clutch is slipping at high RPM shifts...right?

Not just high rpm shifts but clutch engagement through all gears at all rpms. It just feels a lot more precise and direct. I noticed that launching off the line and quick shifts are more solid than with the CDD in. This is a cheap, easy MUST do mod for all manual owners... Try it and you will see why. Have fun!

The brake line union is the ONLY way to go for this... in my opinion anyway.

Thanks for the info. Fig is making one, and he is going for a $20-25 range. I'll go for the $10 brake line union, but the Figs CDD delete is pretty nice.

For those who haven't seen it:

VERY nice. But too late for me. A union is a union imo. I would've considered getting these if they were out when I deleted mine...

Shhh, so is mine.

All that other stuff is mods. How are mods "secret"? I would think that secret would be a feature thats already there that people just don't know about.
