My IS is Crap
Im just wondering if anyone has had the same problems as me!!!!! First off I've been a Honda fan for years now and this is my first Toyota. Anyways I bought my 2004 IS300 is September 2005. These are the problems I've had to date!!!! are you ready?
1. I was washing the car and a 1inch stretch of paint came off the car! (the car has never been repainted or in an accident, this is factory paint) Repainted Warranty
2. Hood Latch does not work all the time left me stranded 3 times to date!!!!
3. Syncro bearings in clutch are shot being replaced on warranty
4. LED's burnt out in rear spolier, being replaced warranty
5. Brakes failed once, i went through a stop sign
6. Clutch stuck to floor and wouldn't come up, after 5 mins of hammering on it at a green light and a left hand turn it popped back up.
7. Last but not least a new ticking or clicking noise I don't know what it is but i have to take it in AGAIN!!!!!!
Anyways has anybody else had these kinda problems with their IS300?????!!!!!!

If so, I guarantee that it came from Quebec, as private dealers love to pick up the scraps from Quebec. Due to the different and conflicting laws, when you run a motor vehicle search in Ontario it will only show the history of Ontario and all other provinces "except" Quebec....from there it's buyer beware....
Actually i bought this car from a Lexus dealership..... Lexus of Oakville

Sorry you've had a bad experience so far. Since you bought it from the dealer and they seem to be repairing these things then I assume it was a certified used IS. I've never heard of that many problems with the IS. I think the IS was actually rated #1 in reliability as an entry luxury sedan at one point. Good luck.
