Default What is the best engine setup for the money I have?

Alright, I am looking into some possible cars to buy for my next one. The IS is a very strong candidate right now. I really want to modify whatever car I get. If I choose the IS, I want to to mainly perofrmance upgrades...I will do some body work a little later. I have about 10k to spend on the engine and I need to know what you guys think the best route to take is. I am somewhat new to modifying fever (trying to recover from my dad's supercharged S2000) but I do not have much knowledge about the IS engine and what it best responds to. I would really appreciate it if you could throw out some ideas.suggestions for me to consider. Thanks in advance!

wow...i would sure love to have that much to spend on my engine....you can do all the basic engine mods like header, intake, exhaust, safc, race pipe, etc. I think you might be able to put boost in also...but the budget will be very very tight...the turbo itself is quite costly and the addtional items you need with the turbo will probably go over 10k. I know a guy that put turbo in his car and it cost him around 8k plus on the boost itself..

I also agree that Toyomoto and TurboEast are both excellent companies. No personal experience with Toyomoto, but I've been happy with the service I've received from TurboEast concerning my valve body upgrade.

Please note that the cost of their kits is really only the beginning, as it does not include install, tuning, and accessories (gauges, etc) costs. $10K is a good amount to have in hand if you want to boost the IS300.
